Which lake are you fishing near Flin Flon - I am heading up to that area at the end of the week. We are going to Reed Lake (East of the Flin Flon)- Been there yearly for about 15 years or more. Nice area up there. I could do with out the drive but the fishing is worth it. I agree with HKSBH sounds like about the right time – there aren’t many towns to slow you down! Careful for the cops however, I got a ticket for doing close to 90 MPH – Cops were real nice but it cost me a couple hundred bucks – plus my insurance heard about it – didn’t think they would being the ticket was issued in another country

jonboy,

I'm more with Hemlock on this one. If you're pulling a boat, you're looking at 10-11 hours. The key will be driving through Northern Canada during the day. More gas stations open that way. If you haven't got the route down, and you are driving through the night, get gas wherever and whenever possible. We also make sure that we carry an extra 8-10 gallons per vehicle in cans in the boat. It is sometimes hard to come by up there, especially at 3 a.m. smile.gif
