With this hotter than doom weather how does this change everyones tactics. I have gone early in the morning before it gets too beastly and done ok at best. But how do you catch bass at NOON when the water is 83 degrees and it is 90 with no wind. Yikes!!!!! Just a curious fella as to what the rest of ya are doing.

With weather/water temps like that I would look in thick cover and/or deepwater. I mainly fish shallow so I would look for big shady docks, trees that hang low over the water, thick patches of weeds, and lily pads. You would also probably have luck fishing the weedline or other deep water structure.

Around docks and other shallow cover I prefer flukes, tubes, and jig/pigs.If Im gonna fish the weedline I would probably use a crankbait to find active fish then go in with a texas or carolina rig and see if I cant pick off a few more from the school.

In the early morning or evening or if it clouded over I would start throwing a spinner, buzzer, or shallow running crank around the weed flats.
