Magellen GPS Map Software

I recently purchased a Magellan Meridian Platinum GPS and am pertty happy with it. I noticed though the map portion does not include a lot of the smaller bodies of water 500 acres or smallers. I'm going to be using the unit for hunting and fishing quite a bit. My question is if I get the Magellan Topographic map software will this add smaller lakes,wetlands,hills,Valleys,Ridges etc. to my map? Is the software worth buying?

I know with Mapsend Streets and Destinations which is Magellan software you get much more lake and water detail, but of course you do not get water depths that you would get with the topo. I have read that the Magellan topo maps are not very accurate but have not used them. "Fishing Hot Spots" sells a lake topo map cd with gps coordinates and all. That might be the one to get.

You need the detail map. I've forgotten what the name of the detail map is for Magellan, but it's very good. I believe Garmin's is called "roads and rec.", but I can't think of the Magellan one. You'll get every little puddle and pond you'd ever imagine fishing in on it.
