0 TSCTSC
If you expect to be fishing in poor weather quite a bit like rain or wind, or rough water.....GO FOR WINDSCREEN. With a bemimi upgrade, you can remain dry despite the weather.
0 Northlander
Pros are protection from wind and water spray. Plus you can put a top on it. Cons are it takes up a lot of fishing room to me. I have a 17.5' single counsel and my next boat will be a 20' with a full windshield and a top for it. Not for me as much as my wife. She hates wind, and rain even more. Both raise hell with her book reading!

0 BIG DS
Wives and kids require windsheilds, fishing space dictates side console.
0 ejj
Get the full shield. The top is nice in the rain. Yes, it will take up space. Ever turned tail and headed home on a big lake with good waves and rain? If you fish LOW, Kab, Rainy, Mille Lacs, etc...it is quite nice...besides the wife/family possibility... 0 nthomps66
I bought my first new boat last year and went with the Crestliner Fishhawk SC. I don't make it up to the big water much. I mostly fish metro lakes on weekends and do a metro fishing league on Mondays. My wife and kids come out for short periods on weekends. I don't keep them out in the high wind or rain. Anyway, I love the SC. The extra room is fantastic for fishing.
0 TSCTSC
Yeah...I guess. It is really a toss up between SC and windscreen. But if you do a lot of rain, wind and like to go fast, and hate to get sunburned, then windscreen is better. But if you like the space, I guess SC really lets you do that.
