1lb tank leaks

Ya Hey Der

Question

Just wondering if any of guys had problems with 1lb propane tanks leaking after you use them (but not all the way). I hooked up a 1lb tank to my lantern and after I was done for the night, I disconnected the tank from the lantern and noticed a hissing noise from the tank. I have half a tank left and I don't feel comfortable driving home with this tank leaking propane in the car. Is there a way to prevent the propane from leaking?
Thanks!

it happens I have had that happen a few times. It is because the valve hasn't sitted properly so poke something in the hole to try to sit it if it doesn't work get rid of it. Becareful of poking things in there though.

I would have to say that 80% of the tanks I have removed with propane still in them have leaked, and not just the cheaper ones but the colman ones to. Know I just leave them hooked up until they are empty. Although it sucks the lantern does'nt fit in its case with the tank screwed on.
