I am looking for info on making myself a camera for icefishing. I seen info in the past(not on this site) but cant find it anymore.. I dont want to spend over 300 dollars for an aquview or such.. Call me a cheap A$$, but with four kids and a wife that has just started working again the funds arnt there.. Anyone with any inforamtion?? The one I saw before you could buy the Sony camera then get the other stuff you would need from radio shack.

Try a search on Trophy Fish Cam. They are homemade cams that are equal to Atlantis or Aqua-vu for a few hundred bucks. I think when you get cameras you want to make sure you have good warranty and customer service and thats hard to find when you buy cheap products.

I've "built" 4 camera setups for guys I work with and the setups nearly sell themselves. In almost all the cases, they've seen the aquaview and claim the ones I have are more clear. Anyone can do it, All the componets plug together and most of the small AC/DC TV's have a AM/FM radio besides. If the fishin's slow, Watch TV! EH!, It keeps the kids entertained, too. And they cost about $160.00 (and a little footwork) to assemble. The camera has 7 infared led's for dark/night vision. (They DO NOT shut off seperately) I'd be happy to share the info on where to get your componets from if you e-mail me at: [email protected]
