I was talking with Jack Kordiak. Per his last conversation with Jeff Weaver, the tourney is 99% off.

Dave Genz suggested moving it to the Sartell. I think that's a great idea.

What do you think?? Maybe the Anoka boyz would relocate or can someone else take over the tourney/permit.?

Just My .02

If Jeff will consider the move, we should leave the rules un-changed.

If some one else takes on the project, we could offer up some suggestions.

Personaly, I don't mind competing against live bait.

Jeff is the key guy and I agree with Kevin that if they would move it and get the permit for Sartell the rules should not be changed. I too prefer the arteficial concept but the Anoka tourney has been around a long time and many participants like the live bait approach. You would like to encourage them to come up so why change the rules.

Is there still a chance that we can have a small one on the river for everybody that want to fish it... Or do we have to go through all the channels and get a permit? I think we should still have one. I talk with jack at actions yesterday and he would be willing to help out with what he can...

What's the latest word? Are they cancelling and sending the checks or just sitting on it for now? It's only about 5-6 weeks away. They should know what they are going to do by now.
