Deitz Dittrich
Lil- I guess it really depends on what you want that rod to do... Trilene XL 6 is a good line.. limp, casts well.. not the strongest line out there... XT is a much tougher line. But not as limp and will not cast as well.. It really up to what the user wants? I like P-Line CXX X-TRA tough. Again its not a limp line, but its tough stuff... I never worry about it breaking.Or you could try a braid line, limp, no stretch, yet not as invisiable as mono. The best thing to do with lines is try them and find what works best for you. I know what works best for me will not work best for others.. and vise versa! Lost
I'd say it depends on what your fishing for also. What kind of area are you fishing in? Areas with a lot of cover? Not as much cover? In weeds? All these things and more will help you decide what line to get.So far I've been very impressed with the Sufix line. I'm also testing out the new Yozuri Hybrid Soft line... hopefully it casts a lot better than their original formula.
LiLBro
i'll be mostly fishing weeds and timber, so i want something that will be able to break thru the weeds and be abbrasion resistant.
Deitz Dittrich
I might shy away from the XL then.. its not designed to be abraision resistant.. go with XT, or P-line... Or some other line designed for abriasion, not castability!
