I wouldn't think you'd have a problem, but to clear your butt, I'd simply call ahead to the border crossing and let them know the situation. Never hurts to get an answer from them and politely ask for their badge # for reference later on. I've got phone #'s posted in the "To bring or not to bring" thread at the top of this forum.

Excellent advice Hemlock.

I once crossed driving my oldest bro's Explorer with FL plates and upon returning they asked the usual 'where's everybody from' and then asked a quite a few more questions after connecting a MN driver with a FL vehicle.

A couple years ago I brought a friend's 11 yr old boy (w/o a parent present) across and we had all the necessary paperwork, parent signed permission slip and once out of crossing 3 times was asked more extensive questions about that whole deal.

Honesty is the best way to avoid trouble at the border.

Mess with the truth and those people are well trained to spot it....... and I'm glad they are.
