Stratosman
Did he not enter the draft or what? A Hiesman trophy winner not getting drafted. I didn't follow the Sooners that close but I wonder what the deal is with him? I think Charlie Ward is the only other Hiesman winner to not get drafted, and I think he was playing baseball or something.
ozzie
He did not get drafted but was in the draft.. The "experts" say he has no arm and that is why he didn't get drafted as for Charlie Ward basketball was his sport and he has done fairly well in his choice.. panolo
He was not drafted. He probably will sign on with someone as a UDFA. Questions about his knees and arm strength were very big reasons he did not get drafted.Technically there have been 5 undrafted Heisman winners:Matt Leinhart this years winner who returned to school.WhiteCharlie Ward told teams not to draft him any later than the 1st round if they wanted him to play football. He was assured of being a 1st round basketball pick. Army Running Back Pete Dawkins (1958) who had a military commitment. Nebraska Running Back Mike Rozier (1983), who was not picked in the regular NFL draft, but was selected in the first round of the 1984 USFL supplemental draft after that league folded.
