Leaking trailer tire

AS the rim gets older the bead will rust and pit,you can take it off and clean,repaint and put tire back on.It will hold and probably leak again.Sure fix,clean bead,put in tube and put tire back on and you should have years of trouble free tires.

Thanks guys. I was leaning towards the tube and think that is what I will do. I was just curious because the rim is not that old and probably only has a couple hundred miles on it and has always been stored inside but its not the first time I have had this problem with a trailer tire. Thanks for the tips though.

probley a rim leak, you can remove the tire, coat the rim bead area and the tire bead area with tire patching cement, let dry, remount the tire, this will not cement the tire to the rim, but will seal any bead leaks because it will fill any inperfections in the bead area. I have done this many times over the years, just a old guys solution.
