Cliff Lake??

Has anyone fished this lake (Near Perrault Falls)?? I have been up in this area the past few years, always do a day or 2 on this lake and I find the fishing to be pretty difficult compared to almost all other lakes in the area. It's a gorgeous lake and I feel I might be wasting it, just thought I would throw it out there for you guys?...

Hey Brian...

I know the area quite well. However, I've never fished Cliff. I've heard it's a great smallie factory but, as you said, very tough to fish. I've got a friend that's fished Cliff. I'll drop her an email and see it I can get some info for ya....

BTW... Are you familiar with Lake Wabaskang? Just curious...

Thanks for the info, I have seen and heard of Wabaskang but have not personally fished it. I heard it was a great walleye/pike Lake

Hi Brian...

Sorry pal. I stuck out on the Cliff Lake info. I got a hold of her room mate and she told me my friend was up chasing whales (or something like that) in Alaska... Now if she had left me the keys to her cabin it wouldn't have been so bad. I could have got you first hand info...

I'll report back when she gets back to the "real" world...

Every year I drive by Cliff and it has intregued me more so than any other lake in the area. I haven't bothered stopping, but will one of these times.

ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT CLIFF LAKE ON THE WEST SIDE OF HWY 105? CEDAR AND WEST CEDAR ARE ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE ROAD? WE HAVE FISHED THAT LAKE 2 OR 3 DIFFERENT TIMES AND HAVEN'T BEEN SKUNKED. KNOCK ON WOOD. 2 SUMMERS AGO WE SAW SOME MONSTERS BUT COULDN'T GET THEM TO BITE. IF YOU LOOK AT A MAP OF THAT AREA THERE ARE SOME SMALLER LAKES (3) CONNECTED TO CLIFFS ON THE SOUTH SIDE. WE HAVE CAUGHT SKIS ON THEM ALSO, BUT I CAN'T REMEMBER THE NAMES. I BELIEVE ONE OF THEM IS CATCH AND RELEASE ONLY. IF YOU ARE GOING BY DRYDEN TRY WABIGOON LAKE ALSO. WE ARE HEADING TO CLIFFS THE 3RD WEEKEND IN JUNE. GOOD LUCK

That was the Cliff lake I was referring to. Cedar lake btw is a great smallie factory. I spent a week there and caught endless bass up to 7.5#. Wabigoon, which I currently go to now, is a great all around lake.
