Dead Geese

Just wondering if any of you have seen dead geese in the road ditches near sloughs. I know these things dont move an inch when you pass them but try not to hit these birds. I have found them on Cty. 27

I haven't seen any dead geese around here, but have seen 3 or 4 dead mallards on the roads. And I know its some punk or someone on a cellphone that is in a hurry and doesnt give a (Contact US Regarding This Word). I mean its not like waterfowl will quick run out on you, jeez.

yeah no kidding...ducks and geese darting out on you from the ditches is not a plausible excuse for someone who hits one.

Whenever I see ducks crossing a road, I half hope that one of the jerks who has hit them in the past decides to step on the gas and run one over in front of me...the easiest they'd get off is with a tongue lashing and a full pop can rifled off the side of their car!

I cannot believe people do stupid dump like that, of course

However I had a hen mallard fly right into the Coca Cola truck I was driving in Litchfield. So its possible that ducks do get killed on the highways even through I never heard of it before.

Right on Kowalleyeski! I honk at the honkers. get those birds off the road. A related point in my area, pheasents and chicks too. kinda depressing when you see a nice rooster that got smacked by a buick

I hear ya Redwalleye...I get so few chances at roosters each fall...when I see them dead on the road shoulder it hurts.

Last spring a carload of me and my friends were on a backroad, headed to the casino...it was about 10pm, pitch dark outside....all of a sudden, my buddy just locks 'em up...we come to a stop about 10 feet in front of a monster honker...we honked at it, and it still didn't move, so I got out of the car and chased it off the road. Don't know what the hell it was thinking but we saved that one from getting schmucked!
