FL8 problem

Friday I was out fishing, when all of a sudden, my Vex started rattling and the "flashers" went out. Is this something an average "joe" can tackle, or should it get sent in?

This is something that you would have to take in. Don't foil any chance of voiding the warrenty if it still has one by opening it up.

Does this Vex have a lot of hours on it?

Your brushes may have gone out. Vex sells a brush kit, but if you are not proficient in soldering small items, it is best left to the factory.

Im guessing its the brushes in it and they have gone bad. Like Gissert said, you have 2 options; 1) get a brush kit and fit it yourself. 2) send it in and get it fixed or find some one to fix it for you.

BTW Did you atleast catch any fish while you were out fishing?
