Mounting Lowrance X67c on bow

nthomps66

Question

I bought the Lowrance X-67C Ice Machine this winter and now want to mount it on the bow of my Fishhawk. I ordered the trolling motor mounted transducer from LEI-Extras and am now looking for the mounting hardware for the screen. I would like the ball mount type bracket so it sits up higher and is easily adjustable and removable.

LEI-Extras does not list any of their R-A-M mounts as compatible with the X-67c.

Cabellas stuff is hard to tell if it will work or not...

Any solutions out there? I was maybe going to stop by Thorne Bros after work today too.

Thanks guys. I stopped at Thorne Bros and they hooked me up with exactly what I needed and even cut me a deal after I gasped at the total. I installed it last night.

Funny, I went to Sportsman's Warehouse first and walked out with nothing. They didn't have the transducer or the mount I needed and couldn't even special order either for me. Actually them and LEI said that there wasn't even a RAM ballmount made that worked with the X67c. Thorne Bros has a new customer...

One more question: Is there any problem wiring this thing to my 12V trolling motor battery up front instead of running it back to the fuseboard?

Oh, I forgot to mention this. LEI somehow "lost" my transducer order too after taking my credit card info so that's why I bought that from Thorne Bros as well. Luckily I called LEI to check the ship date or I would have been waiting all summer for the thing.

FYI- IT is the RAM mount that fits the "CUDA" that works with the Lowrance x67c, m68c as well as the Eagle's with the small base. If anyone would like to know the specifics I still have the box at home...

In regard to connecting the locator to the trolling motor... I've heard it from several sources that the trolling motor will pass interference onto the locator through the battery, which is why most people connect it to their starting battery.

Now, supposdly the new motorguide digital trolling motor (and I believe minn kota has something similar) do not interfere with the locator.

I'd reccomend connecting to the starting battery.
