JHansel7
I noticed when i travel at speeds of 25 mph, and then apply the rear break, it will make a big crack noise, kinda like a backfire? any ideas?
Fisher Dave
My Kodiak 450 did the same thing to me a couple of times.. still dont know what it was to this day. I took it to the dealership and they couldnt find anything wrong either.. maybe debris on the brake.. I dont know, but be assured your noth the only one.I had normal brake ware for the entire life of the pads and the brakes always worked well... just a mystery. TV BOY
Are you also letting off the throttle? if so the Kodiak has engine compression braking to help slow the machine down. It does come close to backfireing sometimes but I haven't experienced a "crack" noise.
