I went to the sports show, decided could not get out of there with out spending some money,So I bought a

fenwick eagle GT, egts66l-2, 1/16-3/8oz,2-8lb,Lpower, with a Abu Garcia cardinal 501 Reel.

The most money I have ever spent on a rod and real. I was looking for somethning for shore fishing for a little bit of everything. How did I do?

Thanks for your input.

Sounds like it should work out well. For shore fishing you need something that casts well(its a distance thing) and a longer fairly light rod does pretty well with that. Spool up with six pound line and you should be in good shape smile.gif

I have a 91 full size Chevy extended cab with the long 8FT bed. The this is GREAT at ALL times except when parking or filling up with gas. It has the extra high topper on the bed so I can get anything in it that I would need for either hunting or fishing! I love it! With 225,000 miles on her she is just getting broke in! I geuss the gas is a bit high but then agin, I have no truck payment! Take care and N Joy the Hunt././Jimbo
