Follow-up to mnfishinguy post

Recommended Posts

Just as a follow-up to mnfishinguy's post on "who, who and what". My question is, what do you drive, what do you like about it and what do you not like about it?

As for me, I drive a 2003 Chev. Silverado 1500 LT Ext Cab. What I like most is the Driver Information Center where you can find out all kinds of different info on your vehicle, the seats are very comfortable, it rides a little lower than Ford or Dodge (I have a short arse!) and it has good towing power.

Not like: every time I hit the window down button I hit the darn heated seat button, and that gets darn hot in summer! I think Chevy took care of that on the '04's though. Not as smooth and quiet as the new F150 and doesn't turn as sharp as I'd like. Oh, and one more thing, the right armrest is too darn low and tight to the body. Wish they'd raise that up and out a little.

Do the new F150's have a driver information center like the Chevy's?

As a generic truck question. Why do all the newer pickups have to look like Macks or Freightliners? And have the same floor height? I used to drive dump trucks for a living. I don't need my pickup to look like one and need steps to get into.

I think they did that for the people that use trucks as cars. I think it's because they want to feel more "manly". I don't know?

I drive a 2000 GMC Jimmy. Good power to weight, nice brakes, good MPG. A little small to pull my boat. Don't like the arm rest to steering wheel angle. The rest I can live with.

A buddy of mine has a 2001 Dodge Cummins/6speed. That truck is perfect, other than the fact that the radio and conversation are usless when doing anything better than 45MPH.
