I have a Gander Mountain Guide Series 6&1/2ft. two piece UL rod. It's IM6 graphite and works great for throwing very light weight lures and baits. Last time I was in GM they had ten bucks off all Guide Series rods. Good all-around rod for the bucks.

Go to walmart and check out what they have there for ultralights.. I am very picky about rods so dont overlook this too fast.

Check out the shakespere rods (yes, shakespere).. the model ecapes me but they have some 6' 6" and 7' ultralights constructed of IM6 graphite, great guides, cork handle, and an excellent fast action... exceptional rods, I couldnt believe they were from shakespere.. light, sensitive, quality.. and a $13 price tag... mine is sitting in my truck or I would get the model number for you (lazy tonight).

Anyone looking for a good ultralight has to check these out before they dump a load of cash on another rod.

Just picked up a 5' Falcon Ultra Light rod today. I bought a 6' medium action Falcon for walleye fishing last year. Can't say enough good things about Falcon rods. Can't wait to hit the open water crappie bite this spring.

I am asuming you are fishing for panfish? I use a cheapy fly rod with a spinning reel on it for fishing around docks and stuff like that. Cheap, reliable, and a blast with crappies and sunnies. If you are looking for a higher end rod with a lot more quality I second Midwest Rod and Reel, you can not beat the service and expertise of Bill and Al.
