Whats Happening to Gibbs Racing

It really seems like the 18 can't avoid a wreck and the 20 seems like it can't get its wheels going? I really thought this would be a year where they both would be running for the chase. I know it is early but it makes you start to think.

18 has been junk since they dumped Fatback. He was 6th in the points when they canned him and look what they've done since.

20 is a mystery, although they almost always seem to start rotten and get stronger.

I agree with Lawdog. Ever since the 18 team dumped Fatback, it's gone in the crapper. And look at the 21 team now. They're running a lot better, but having troubles finishing races. You ask me, Fatback has a lot to do with that.

As for the 20 car, they're not doing too bad so far. BUT, BUT, with all do respect to the 20 car lovers, Tony seems to take care of his own fate as the season progresses. His short temper seems to be what brings his team down the most as the season progresses. If he could place that temper in check, I think he would consistently do better, but it always seems to haunt him in the end.

Just a wild thought.....What if Gibbs Racing and DEI joined up ??? Dad always thought the world of Bobby and we all know how tight Jr. and Tony are.....I'm probably dream weavin' but I think it would work, plus Michael gets along well with the Gibbs guys....hmmmm !!
