JZ
Any fishing reports from the North end of LOW! We would love to make another trip up there if the ice would hold up. any thoughts on that?
Hemlock
It sure is looking like we are going to be able to fish right until the end of the walleye season...April 14. Lots of ice and cold temps. I'd be surprised if we don't have another 3-4 weeks left out there. Fishing should be good. Have you fished late ice before, JZ?
JZ
Hemlock do you know where we could get coats like yours? Jimmy and I have been looking around with little or no luck. Thanks again!!! We can't wait for ice off so we can come fishing with you!
Wild Thing
Fished LOW Canada side Friday, Saturday and Sunday and there is more ice than ever. At least 30 inches with another 6-10 inches of hard snow on top. It's nearly at auger-extension level. It's going to take a lot of warm sun and/or rain to get rid of that, so at least 2 weeks if not more safe ice time. The issue becomes travel on the ice, which gets wet and sloppy and not fun if it gets too warm too fast. I have noticed the walleyes going deeper with so much more daylight and sunlight, say 18 feet stead of 13. But they were still on the reefs and eager to bite. Good luck!P.S. Rainy River was still totally iced-in cept for right around Inernational Falls, for anyone who cares about that. But it will go fast if the sun stays out.
