So, what's the deal with Snow this friday?

Good morning all you FMer's out there! Waiting for the coffee to finish brewing....had some time to kill, so I'm seeing whose up and at em this fine morning!

Chomping at the bit to get at some snow removal! Although our clients like to have the snow removed as soon as possible, they don't like being woke up by the plow and we try not to fire up any blowers before 8:00 A.M. for the same reason.

We don't have all that much snow up here anyways, maybe a few inches? The weatherman and the cable channels said we were going to get another 1 to 4 inches overnight, yeah, right! Another accurate forecast tongue.gif we would have started last night if we knew it was going to stop. We did'nt get a flake all night! Oh well.

Just an early morning run through to see what the deal is, then it's on to business and maybe later, a little fishing!

well it's a toss up now weather I go take a nap before I go fishing this morning.I'm just hoping the wind blew most of the snow off the lake.I'm heading to spring lake down by prior and we got plenty of snow down here.I left a post on the metro page asking if anyone knew how the ice was on that lake but it looks like i'm gonna have to go find out myself.

It's going to take plenty of wind to blow the snow off our ice here in Rochester. At 6 last night we had 15 inches and then the snow continued for several hours with heavy fall at times. We've seen maybe 18 inches. For those of you who can find the ice, I'd rather be there with you than behind the handles of the blower. Lokks like another four hours run this morning.

CT...I sure can't say I envy the folks down in southern Minnesota that got hammered by this storm.

Once that stuff starts to heat up, it's going to be like trying to pick up a roll of sod with the shovels.

I started at 4:15 this morning and the snow was nice. The help got here at 6:30 and for the first part of the morning, the blowing, shoveling and plowing, was just fine.

As the day progressed and things heated up, the blowers were useless and that meant shoveling! We finished up about 2:15 and I can barely lift my fingers to type!

No, I sure am glad we did'nt get thumped like you guys did!

Good luck with the snow situation....if my minnies are alive, I'm going fishing! grin.gif

Grebe, it sure would have been nice to have a red eyed bird plowing my drive out today.

I don't know exactly how much snow we officialy got but after the wind blew it around there was some areas I could see grass and others the drifts were all of three feet high or better

I still got out to fish today though and did battle with something big but never saw what it was.

Dan...I never did make it out this evening, talked the talk, but did'nt walk the walk! This evening, I can't hardly walk anyways!

Hopefully we are going to hit Pokegama tommarrow. Some of you guys are some kind of dedicated fishermen, thats for sure! In the grips of all that snow and you still get out fishing. I know it got nice out, but all that new snow? Once I got my work done, I would have curled up like a deceased millipede! Kind of like I'm getting ready to do now!

Oh, on the snow removal, you should have called me, I would have come right down....really! wink.gif
