Hunting land for rent

I own 40 acres south of Red Lake covered with trees and surrounded on three sides of 540 acres of state land. There are many deer and bear and all kinds of other wildlife on it. Was wondering what I could rent this out to a good respectable hunter for a weekend or two. Just checking if its worth all the haslle to do this.

I doubt many would be interested in just a weekend or two because most want at least a one year lease to build stands, and do things to prepare for the season. I am not sure what a one years lease would be in that area but further north 100 acreas goes for about 500 a year give or take.

Hey Willy, if non-res bear tags are available there and you can furnish lodging or camping/trailer, I might be interested. It would have to be more than a weekend though.

Like jlm replied, about $5/acre (or maybe a little more) is about what a hunting lease should go for in that area. And that'd be for the full year - scouting, stands, etc.

If you have a cabin or trailer that the hunters could stay in then the price could go up. Same thing if you supplied the stands.
