jltimm
I just purchased a Otter Magnum fishhouse and had a question for the other Otter owners out there. With the Fabric on the front lip of the sled,do you put the seat bracket over the fabric or under it?How is the seat as far as removal?I bought the cushioned swivel seat with the aluminum bracket, and I'am unsure of how to put the seat on and off the sled? Paul Waldowski
JT,The fabric goes under the seat. It helps to keep the fabric under the travel cover and the snow out of your sled. I have done some extensive modifications on mine, after 4 years of owning them, I figured it was about time. If you would like photos or look at it in person, shoot me an e-mail. Otters Rock!!! Captain B.R.K
I have the otter bench and put the bench right over the fabric. Has held up for 3-4 years now and do not have a rip in the material. Keeping the fabric down keeps the wind from coming up into the house.
Northlander
I put the seat over the fabric on the front lip. When traveling I take the seat off and fold the wind flap into the sled and put the seat back on. Then colapse the house onto the sled, put the cover on and away you go. Like Paul said it helps keep the snow out of your house.
hanson
There seams to be a common theme here... Seat Bracket over the Fabric I do mine the same way. I don't know if it is just my sled but it can be pretty tricky to get the seat to attach to the front. Because of this, I don't take them off at all. I just took the skirt up under the front seats, flip the seats down, and pull the travel cover over the entire works. Its amazing how much stuff you can get under that travel cover!!! I've seen Paul's house too, very nice work!! I think I may have started a trend with house modifications.
