Bowhunting pronghorn in Western ND

Question for anyone who might know the answer- what's the best one week period when the pronghorn are receptive to decoying in Western ND? I realize the answer will vary from year to year, but if you had to pick one week, when would it be?

Thanks,

I have not bow hunted ND for about 12 years. I did hunt in NW SD two years ago and the goats were going crazy the week before rifle season opened. I think that year it opened like October 3. The bucks were very active chasing other bucks and defending their harems. I have talked to others that go every year towards the middle of September and it can be hit or miss. I would shoot for the third to last week of September if you can only make it out once. Good luck.

I always used to go on opener. Laborday weekend was a great opportunity to go for a 4 day hunt. It can be really warm that time of year but use that to your advantage by blind hunting watering holes. Finding land is not a problem with the national grassland acres and also most landowners don't care about the goats. Mule deer bucks are a different story ranchers are somewhat protective of them. In the early season, calling and decoys don't work as well but they haven't been educated by other hunters yet.
