Older Ice Auger Bit

Get Er Done Guy

Question

I have an older gas auger and I somehow lost the blade on it my last time out. I am assuming that it broke off on my last hole being drilled and is in the bottom of the lake. It was a single blade on the auger bit and was a bit rusted. My question is, where does a guy find a new auger to put on this one? I am not quite sure of the brand name but I just got it running good so I do not really want to buy a whole new one. Any help would be appeciated. I am going to try to take the bit off tonight and see what kind of connection it would require.

I would take the whole unit to a sport/bait shop that has blades and just find one that the holes match up. If it's real old, chances are it's a jiffy or eskimo. Since they were the biggest producers there for a while. Could you post a pic here? I'm sure we could indentify it for you.
