Salmo lures?

Has anybody used these and what are your opionions? Are they worth what then get for them is the quality there?

I have an old In-Fisherman where they asked 8 muskie experts what their 5 favorite Muskie accessories were. Doug Stange said Salmo Slider was in his top 5.

They look very nice and high quality but other than the maurader I haven't heard of anyone using them. Lot's of lures look nice you know but aren't worth what then get for it.

The Maurader is brand spanking new. Salmo came out with several new lures this year. As with all of their products, I'm sure they'll be rock solid and totally dependable. Yep, they're pricey, but they're top of the line in my book.

I agree with Scoot. I used the "fatso" (bass & yellow perch) last summer and had good luck with them. They seem very well built. I also have one "slider"...pike seem to have loved it.

I could never get past the high price for Salmo lures, I know a few people that use them, however they haven't exactly been raving about them.

Your bound to hear more about them, they are on a big push into the bass and walleye market, with a number of new crankbaits. Unless I hear they are really pounding them on Salmo's, I think I'll be sticking with what I have. JMO

My biggest ski, a 48"er came on a Salmo Pike crank. Was trolling when she hit it. Also have the same Salmo pike in a smaller version and jointed that pike love to eat....caught a few bass one them too

I've got a 10" pike jerk bait that looks pretty cool, but i've never really used it long enough to raise any interest. I've got fatso too, and i've had some follows, but no takers with that. I originally bought them because i was impressed with the paintjobs, but they seem to hold up fairly well, and you can cast that fatso for a country mile

Gapen's Polish Perch hops out of a salmo mold and it works.
