Ponds near I35?

I make my way down to Des Moines about every other weekend. Was curious if any of the ponds on the way down hold nice fish?

I know the one at the Junction of HWY 3 and I35 on the west side of the road does. Their is some decent crappie and perch in it. Channels can be caught also. My mother-in-law caught a 4lb walleye out of it a few yrs back.

Take the first gravel road south as you go west it will take you right to it. There's a big tile on the west side of the pond. about 20-30 yards north of the tile their is some structure in the water about 10-15 yds from shore. A minnow on a bobber can be good for crappie.
