Huntin Partner Wanted !!

Recommended Posts

Totally agreed, beer is for after the hunt.

If the fellas that show up want to throw a few bucks into a kitty and give it to Mr. Farmer it very may well keep us in the field the next spring!!! Have to look ahead, ya know. That's a good idea. That's a very good idea and a very good way to say "Thank you."

The field I'm looking at is set up pretty nice with a gravel road right behind a row of trees. Everyone could park trucks there. In all honesty, the fields I hunt in I don't drive on, we walk it. Less damage to the field and the land owner is happy. Keeping the land owner happy is of the utmost importance!!!!!!

I'm not a snow expert, but from what I've experienced and what I've heard we're better off having one or two huge spreads instead of a bunch of smaller ones speckeled all over the place. These birds are migrating and not really going to one particular field to feed like the honkers that live here do.

As I said earlier, if and when they arrive I'll post it here. Come on down. I'd organize something formal if I had more time to do it, but I really don't. Maybe next year???

Boilerguy? Any luck out there yet? Those who want to go during the week - would you have any suggestions? I can go whenever someone else wants to. Tuesdays look better then any other day - I tend to have less meetings on that day.

The only days I can go are during the week. I get off work at like noon on mondays, and have to be back by friday morning. Other then that I will can go wherever. I don't have any snow decoys but I do have some candians. I have a snow goose calls and may have access to an e-caller.

They're Baaaack! The last 2 days I have had flock after flock of snows going over the homestead (Dawson).

The weather is supposed to go south on us next week, so I bet they head back south a little bit if all this standing water gets hard again.

Everyone is talking about deke'em, but if you really want to slaughter Sky Carp you need a Cow Form Baby! (new guy has to Mooooo!)

They are here. I've been told it's only the first wave and there are more to follow. From what I hear, the first wave is the older and harder to decoy birds. That's the rumor, I'm no expert.

I just sent walleyeweasal a e-mail. I don't know if I can go cuz of work and wife stuff, but if I can I'm a goin.
