Motorguide Steering

wastewaterguru

Question

I have a 107 pound 36 volt motorguide bow mount and was hoping that somebody can help me on this one. Because this is a cable steer unit, it is not possible to point it in one direction and take your foot off the pedal. I bought this unit used and am not too familiar with motorguide. It seems to me that there should be a way to tighten the resistance on the shaft so that it will stay pointed where you want it.

Does anyone know if this is possible.....?? If so, then how??

Thanks,

Nope wasty my boy... they are designed to pretty much have your foot on them at all times... I actually much prefer this type unit than the ones with auto piolet.. For bass fishing and such you arre much quicker to respond!

There is a tension knob on it I believe... but its not going to do what you want it to I think... I am not as familiar with the MG as I am with Minnkota!
