I HIGHLY recommend Thorne Brothers in Friendly Fridley. THey have all the supplies from blanks to rod handles, high quality guides,etc etc! PLUS they have LOTS of experience in helping people make there own cutom rods. In fact they have rod building classes available at the store.

Thorne Brothers is the place to go for those kinds of things. Their customer service is awesome, and they also know a thing or two about building them.

I use Thorne Brothers for a local supplier, but mainly I mailorder from Mud Hole or Cabela's.

I'll second mudhole. Never been to Thorne Brothers guess I'll have to make a trip to the big city and check it out.
