I think the heavy Gamma ESP would be a great match for them Lakers too. It absorbs shock well.

I spool up Power Pro Ice on most of my ice rods and then I tie an Albright knot to hook up the leader.

If I am jigging flying lures I skip the Albright and do a swivel on top. The Albright works great on panfish rigs but man it can be a frustrating thing on ultra thin diameter Fluorocarbons....Yikes! My eyes are not getting any better Eh.

If the big cats here on the Red River this spring do not tear up this heavy stuff then nothing will.

Ed- Thorne Bros. most definitely had them in stock. I looked all over the place for one of these suckers.

Matt- I got the CD5 & CD6. They didn't have the larger giant.

The wally in my avatar was caught with a chubby darter. The color was perch and had a 3in dropper on it. I was fishing for perch and was dropping it back down when the line went slack before the darter hit the bottom.

When I got to T-Bros. on Sat, they had 3 LOD's left

I bought 2, a #5 and a #6. There is one #5 LOD left(as of Sat...maybe they had more in back?)for some lucky winner.
