Portable Location

Okay, I have gotten the voyager out of the garage finally and love it. except for the frozen zipper, but I think I solved that problem. My next question is what is the unwritten rule about setting up a portable near a permanant ice house? I don't get out on the ice until 8:30 PM and I try not to set up near ice houses with lights on. Just wondering what I should consider a considerate distance to keep away from.......I fish Prior Lake which seems to have a lot of ice house/beer shanties on it

The lawbooks states "You cannot put a fish house within 10' of another house that is already there"!

10 foot minimum! But then you'll have to put up with an angry neighbor for seeting up so close!

Try 10 yards minimum!

thanks finlander, I usually try and keep it more like 20 or 30 and like always, you're gonna find someone who thinks they own the lake...........
