Stikemaster auger question

Paul S

Question

Has anyone ever changed the shafts on the strikmaster from the chipper blade to the smooth style blades? I have a Mag 2000 2hp with single chipper blade and am considering buying the shaft for the lazer blades and was wondering how well that would work?

Thanks

Paul S

I'd go further than just within the same brand augers. I have an Eskimo shark with a Strikemaster Lazer Mag drill. You do need to be sure to also get the mounting bolt for the drill, because the S/M uses a 5/16"(or metric equiv) and the Eskimo uses a 3/8" (or metric equiv). But the conversion in this case is a "bolt on". Works SWEET!!

One of the beauties of a Strikemaster auger is all of the power drills are interchangeable, even onto the 3hp models. I've been rolling over the thought of getting a 224 drill, but do I really need to go faster than my Lazer? Probably not, or that is what my wife says.
