Opinions on Zack Shack

Hookmaster

Question

I'd like to get your thoughts on the Zack Shack trailer/fish house that advertises on Tony Dean. I like it because you can fit a 4-wheeler in it. The web-site says the axels are rated for 2000#. Is this too light? Also they have the lever to lower and raise rather than the crank.

They look like a decent shack but I also wondered about their weight. I recall seeing a house very similar to Zach's at Pro Sporting goods a few years back. Also, there's no need to worry about a lever over a crank as long as they have the frame balanced correctly. Good luck.

I think its a bit light(the axle) but then again, the house I'm sure is as well, I also think if you spend a little more, you can get something abit bigger, plus something you could add more of the bells and whistles to yourself later if you cant afford to buy one complete. I saw one at the sprotsman show a couple years ago, interior looks like the inside of a cave if I remember right, heh, heh. personally I wouldn't pay what they want.

Does anybody else make something similar with the large door on the end. This set up would be a fish house, 4-wheeler trailer, goose decoy trailer, off season storage at home, etc. I saw some at the Sportshow but these were more like travel trailers.

wow, swear I replyed to that yesterday, but anyway, do a google, or yahoo, or whatever , search for fishhouses, crank down fish houses, fish houses on wheels, something like that.

Thers alot of folks that make them, and I think most will build them to accomodate your needs.
