sdghsdgj
i have a eskimo barracuda plus and its new, it says for optiumal performance it needs to run for like 2 hours, ok, but when i use it to dril it will die? just at random, like itsnot getting gas, but it is, and it dies in like 1-2 sec.! Anyone else have one that does this?
tonyjor
I would suggest letting it warm up with the choke to the "ON" position for at least a minute, longer if it's cold like this last week. Then switch it to right in between "ON" and "OFF" and try to start the hole. If it bogs out, turn off the choke and let it idle a few more seconds before drilling. If this doesn't work, try a new fuel mixture. Remember that during the first hours of operation, you need to use a 25:1 ratio. Also, make sure you have a vented gas cap and that the vent is open. There could be a suction problem if the cap is too tight. Last of all, if none of the above works, take it apart and check all the holes in the carburator to make sure it doesn't have a blockage. Also check to see if the choke is working correctly while you have it apart. That's about all I have. If it still has problems, check your warranty and replace/bring in to repair as needed. Good fishing!
upnorth
Try the choke and cap idea and if that don't work call eskimo. These things should work properly when new.
efgh
When you buy any thing new, you void the warenty, if you take it apart yourself or have it taken apart at a unauthorized service shop, I found this out the hard way with my wifes sewing machine 20 years ago. This is one of the way the company has a out.
