bobO
im going to buy a new fsih house and can't decide on a eskimo quick flip II or a fish trap guide. there are pros and cons to both?
jltimm
The QF 2 is more roomy, headroom and fishing room.I have also heard some problems with the zippers on both, the QF breaking teeth and the Fishtrap freezing up.The QF is also less expensive.I have the QF 3 and like it so far.It is VERY roomy for two people, and the bench is comfortable, but not as comfy as the seats you get with the new fishtraps. Mr. Pike1
I think both units will meet your needs. I purchashed the QF 2 last year and thus far it has been a good unit. The only issue I ran into is that I broke a pin inside the pole. I contacted the company and they sent me a 6 pack of them no questions asked. I like the extra head room and also the break away windows and mesh storage. The bench seat does the job but I think the single padded seats in the fish trap are a bit more comfortable. The best unit I have seen out this year is the new Yukon. I like the idea of being able to hook up with another shack and it has some other nice features. mudman
The fish trap guide can also be connected to another guide. the only difference between the guide and the yukon is the room and size of tube. I just bought the guide last week and there is more than enough room for me and my brother, both of us are over 6'and 200-225 Plus they are on sale for $299 right now.
