0 Surface Tension
Siwash hooks are made for spoons. Siwash hooks have a straight shank, a uniform bend with no twist. If your after Kings or Big Laker's on the Great Lakes this is the preferred hook. You may be thinking a treble sunk in with all 3 hooks would be a benefit but a big King will open its mouth, pulling the hooks out. Plus their strong and the design gives good hook sets. 0 Steve Foss
And the other thing is, Siwash hooks are designed to be replacement hooks, so the eye has an opening you can simply slip over the split ring and then clamp closed with a pliers. When I started fishing North Shore streams on Lake Superior (no trebles allowed), I put Siwashes on all my spoons. They hook good. ------------------"Worry less, fish more."Steve Foss[email protected] [This message has been edited by stfcatfish (edited 09-07-2003).]
