I'llTakeWhatiCanGet
Did anyone get a chance to see the crappie they had swimming in the hog trough at last year's sportshow (the march one)? I'll bet it was every bit of 21", it looked like a horse with fins

Matt Johnson
Here's one of the shots I got... Please disregard the color problems. The pictures that were sent to me were much better quality. For some reason my computer transfers the pics wierd or something. I'll try and see if I can fix them. I had to take them off a Word document. I have the real pics saved on my computer and the quality is much better then the one I posted here. Thats a nice fish! CRAPPIEBAIT
Thanks for the help Matt. You are a very patient man.Just for the record everyone, this is NOT a 6#'er,but just missed the state record for white crappies by .021oz.

andy j
Those are rare fish. I have caught countless crappie in my life but nothing over 14 1/2 inches. Good number of 13-14 inchers. Still looking for a true 15 incher. I did have a giant on when I was grade school in open water and it got off next to the boat. I got a good look and I would say it was at least 17 inchs. The only ones I have seen since that big are in the Cabalas Fish tank. Kind of like 60 inch muskies they are out there they are just rare. Nice fish! Northlander
A 17.5" Crappie is a great fish! Not a 21" fish but still a dandy Crappie. Nice mount as well do you know who did it?
CRAPPIEBAIT
I think the mount was done up in Stacey (I think).I will find out and post.My wife has always said "don't worry honey, length does not matter".@ 17.5" missing a new state record by .021oz is all that matters anymore. (it is a WHITE,not a BLACK)
