RangerDog
Does anyone have a good way to patch a fish trap? Just bought a new voyager and was screwing the weather stripping in on the back of the sled and SLIP a nice new hole in my nice new fish house. Thanks for any help!! jlm
I have done lots of patching throughout the years. The best and easiest for me is the iron on patches. You can get them at JoAnns or other craft stores. Lots of colors to so its easy to match. One bit of advice though. Take your house someplace warm when you iron them on. It provides a better bond. Works great! Good luck!
WallEYES
Get a product called tear mender...been using it for years and should be available at most hardware outlets.
metrojoe
I've got a fish trap that had torn at the seams on both sides right where the frame hinges are mounted to the sled. I did a little sewing first, but I used the iron on patches to reinforce it the other night. Seemed to work really well. I doubled them up, one on the inside and out. There is a lot of stress on that seam when I flip it over. We'll see how it holds up this ice season.
