Securing your gear while in sled on trailer?

I plan one loading everything up and taking the gear to work, so I can head right to the lake after work. My concern is theft while at work. We've already had someone lose an auger (last year) out of the back of his truck.

Any suggestions? Lockable tie down straps or anything? or is it a lost cause.

i think its a lost cause. unless the stuff is in an enclosed lockable safe type thing, i think its a lost cause though. sorry. put stuff in your car and lock the doors maybe, cover it up as well. ????

I'd get qet a car alram and a Yakima rack with a lockable box on top. That would only be in my dreams so its pretty much a lost cause.
