Windy Weather...Hows the Ice conditions now

Well the wind didnt hurt us down here, but thats because we have no ice.

Lake Johanna in Arden Hills opened up completely today.

Was north of Alexandria this weekend and the wind opened a few lakes open. Most of the lakes I drove around hoping to get on were still open

Even the little bay I got on Saturday, had more open water on it Sunday with the wind!

Had my portable out since sunday on 4". The ice ise still a good solid 3" by my house but my trail out there has deteriorated in some spots to 2" of weak ice. Not bad enough that I worried about getting out there. Tonight should add a little ice hopefully.

Ice, what ice, it is now gone for the most part in our area.

I'm glad that darn wind is dying down cause it was gettin kinda hard tryin to cast into that little hole!!

Ice conditions now? I am curious to see how it will effect fishing this season once these lakes completely freeze over. With the water being churned up most lakes may be unsettled and clarity may be an issue. I witnessed this already on a couple of lakes I got on this weekend and it made fishing tough.
