Northlander
I mostly walleye fish. Spots depend on a lot of things. I like to look at high % areas like points, wedlines, saddles, sunkin islands or reefs, creeks flowing in or out and narrows. In low light times I hit shallower areas and mid day I go off the 1st drop.
gophish
i fish around Detroit lakes alot and have had excellent luck fishing sunken islands. these show up well on a lake map and tend to produce a lot of crappies as well as many smaller walleyes. i found that the crappies will suspend in the deeper adjacent water at the depth which is equal to the top of the sunken island. a steep drop off will do the same.
