Do any of you know any good lakes to ice fish for big crappies. I have been to Red and its allright, slowing down quite a bit from a few years ago. Looking for some advice adn a good spot on a good lake. Not looking to catch kill and fry, just looking to keep a few for a meal and toss back the rest. Love your help anglers. Thanks.

LOW has some real nice slabs and so does Rainy Lake. There are even some good lakes in the Chisago area that you can find some big slabs. May just have to look around and spend some time on some lakes and you will find them.

I know what your saying. Thing is unless it's a big lake your on your own. Someone finds them on a lake tells friends and next thing you know they're done by the time you hear about it and get out there. I've had my best luck finding my own, even with that the next day they're usually gone.
