That is easy, YES it will help you become a much more efficient ice angler! A good flasher is well worth every penny in my opinion. If your not sure if you'll use it a lot, I agree with the above comments on the LX-1 (it is a great unit for the money). Otherwise the LX-3 is an awesome unit with all the bells and whistles..
