Strikemaster Cobra

I have an older, 10+ years, Strikemaster Cobra 3hp with a 10 inch chipper blade. I would like to find an 8 inch auger to put on the powerhead. Since the gear ratio is different for the chipper vs the lazer, I do not know if I should look for another chipper or go with the lazer? Any assistance would be appreciated.

I'd think you would want to stay with a chipper blade. You might want to contact Strikemaster directly on this one.

Just get a 8 inch lazer auger and you should be fine. the power head should not matter from auger to auger type.

D-Rock in New Brighton has rebuilt 7 and 8" strikemaster bits with new blades for $35 or at least they did at the end of last season.

I just got back from D-Rock. I ended getting a 8.25" chipper for $50, they did not have any reconditioned lazers and I was unwilling to pay the $120 for a new one. Thanks guys, you are what make this forum GREAT!
