Matt Breuer
I would like to let everyone know about the changes in this years Custom Jigs Winter line-up. This year there will be a line of panfish jigging rods, these rods have a great spring action and will be killer on the days when the fish are biting light. We've also added a spring bobber for you ultra finessers! There are also a new line of your old favorites, the precious metal series. Gold or Nickel plated Rat Finkee's, Ratso's, Ant's, and my favorite, Shrimpos. Please check out the goodies for panfish dynamite! Northlander
I love those Custom Jigs for Crappies. Made a huge believer out of me last year on Red Lake. They also worked great in Sabiskon Bay ( spelling?) for the crappie when they wouldnt take waxies or minnows.
Matt Breuer
I agree Northlander! You got to witness the Shrimpo without bait outfishing minnows and waxies last season! They're a phenomenal bait! There is also a new accessory that I forgot to mention. The new "Ice Fishing Cooler". Specifically designed for the ice fisherman. It also doubles as a Winter tacklebox for all of your Custom Jigs and Spins baits!
FreeFlySpy
Hey Matt pole looks like a good one. What length do they come in?
Matt Breuer
The rod only comes in one size. It's roughly 13 inches in length. Not a brute fighter by any means, but it'll handle an 11" 'gill with the rest of them. The Finesse Spring Rod is built for ultra finesse fishing. Mainly a bluegill rod. I've had them out on the ice twice now, and they are slicker than snot! My new go to rod for 'gills!
cluelessfisherman
Matt - that was incredible on Red last year with those Shrimpos. I keep some of those handy now in my ice box - I also have various colors of their finesse plastics that work great as a bait substitute - I even put those on my Go Devils last year! Matt Breuer
Clueless, good to hear from you, we should get out asap! As soon as things slow down for ya'! I agree about the plastics, the micro noodle on a small spoon was deadly for perch last season. We used the blood red and it did the trick! Saves on bait! troutstix
Matt,do you wacky rig those micro noodles on the small spoons? or are you "nose" hooking them? I picked up a few packs of the red micro noodles, after having good success on wedges and small split tails last year.
Matt Breuer
I've done both! I've even done both together. Mostly I start off nose hooking them however, but if they are only fouling, I'll wacky rig it.
