BigDaddy
I'm thinking about planning a trip for March 5-6. Where are people fishing that time of year? Is Pike still open in the Canadian waters of LOW? Crappie trip? Thanks!
Jim W
Big Daddy,MIght be a "tad" bit early on the huge jacks, but I have been fishing Buffalo Bay for the past 8 years in MArch. You can get into some excellent LArge Northern action with solid walleye and jumbo perch fishing as well.ALready jonesing for a trip eh?Don't blame ya!!Keep the rods bendin'!!Jim W

Juan Grande
Big Daddy,Not a very original answer, but if you haven't hit Red Lake for March crappies you should give it a try. Those 14" inchers aren't going to last forever. Even if you don't hit a bunch, the ones you catch are so big it's worth it!
Northlander
LOW would be 1st on my list then Red Lake on the way home. Then when I get home from there I will go out and hit Wisconsin Point of Lake Superior for big eyes.
Sportland_Bait
March is great for open water walleyes on rivers, but if you are still thinking about ice, LOW is the place to be.Jason Erlandson
Walleye Guy
I would recommend staying at the Drake Motel in Black Duck. Winnie, Red and LOW are all a short drive. Red crappies, Winnie perch and LOW walleyes, sauger and perch can all be had over a couple days.Good luck.WG
