Installing a choke cable?

I just got a new choke cable, spring and plunger. I was wondering the proper way to install to make sure that it is set properly?

Single Carb w/ choke cable(not lever)

  Chamois passed away this weekend a couple days short of her 13th bday. What a great dog to hang out with here at home and on distant adventures. Gonna miss ya big time my little big girl.
