Bob_D
To be fair to the Jiffy folks, the price I put up was for a new blade. The strikemaster chipper blades new are $25.95. If you want to compair shaving blades....the Strikemaster laser blades are 20.95 for exchange and 38.95 new (per Strikemaster site). Blade life is also a factor. Chippers are the easiest to sharpen (can be done by most people), so they last a long time. As far as shaving blades....I had a laser style auger and I would go through 2 sets of blades a year. With my Nils Master, I went an entire season and I'm still going on the same cutting head. I'm not sure about how easy the Eskimo blades are to sharpen, so somone else will have to speak to that. jltimm
This is exactly what I was wondering! This Nils auger seems to be kind of (Overly) expensive in my opinion!I'll stick with the Lazer Mag!Hasn't let me down yet. They back up their product also. They shold bring one of them Nils up to the auger competition this year if they are as fast as they claim!
